Cypriot musician Della made history on 15 January, becoming the first Cypriot to win a Music Moves Europe jury award in recognition as Europe’s top emerging talent.
Della attended the awards ceremony in Groningen on Thursday alongside 14 other handpicked nominees for the Music Moves Europe Awards, where she secured the jury prize—the highest recognition for an emerging artist in Europe.

The win marks a breakthrough for Cypriot music on the international stage and opens doors for independent artists on the island, according to her team.
Immediately after her win, Della performed at the ESNS festival at Lutherse Kerk, a packed church in central Groningen. Her band delivered a set that included her new single “waste”, now available on all streaming platforms.
The track features ghostly acoustic guitars, dark electronic twists and gentle vocals that reveal a more tender and solemn side of the artist. Della will soon release a music video for “waste”.

She was not only the first Cypriot to win the award but also the first from Cyprus ever nominated for a Music Moves Europe Award.
The single can be streamed at louvanarecords.com/della.
