A car crash involving a stolen vehicle in Larnaca took a bizarre turn.
According to philenews, on Monday night, a young woman, known to authorities from previous incidents, lost control of the vehicle she was driving – which later was found to have been stolen – veering onto the sidewalk before coming to a halt in the Larnaca Salt Lake.
Responding to the incident, a police officer discovered the young woman on the sidewalk, injured.
The woman, after she told the officer that she was injured on her leg, boarded another car with two young passengers inside.
Then, the officer reportedly joined the same vehicle, requesting the woman to provide a statement. The driver, seemingly oblivious to the officer’s identity, sped away with the aim of removing the injured woman from the scene. The vehicle eventually stopped, the officer disembarked, and the vehicle continued its journey.
After investigation, police found that the vehicle was stolen from an area inside the British Bases.
Authorities are seeking the three individuals who were inside the car.
