Heavy rain hit the Paphos-Limassol motorway on Wednesday, with water building up on parts of the road between Pissouri and Limassol.
Drivers have been urged to take extra care, slow down, keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front and drive with their headlights on.
In Paphos, conditions changed sharply within a few kilometres of distance on Wednesday morning. While the town centre was sunny and unseasonably warm, rain in Emba and Tala, a short distance uphill, was heavy enough to cut visibility to a few metres.
Around the Agios Neophytos Monastery, a sudden hailstorm lasting a few minutes turned the roads white.
Rain continued on and off in different areas until shortly before this report, while the sun was out in other low-lying parts of Paphos.
