Authorities confirmed a tragic outcome in the Dromolaxia industrial fire on Sunday, announcing that a charred body was discovered during efforts to extinguish the blaze at a polystyrene factory in the Aradippou Industrial Zone. Due to structural dangers within the building, authorities were unable to recover the body immediately.
Officials stated that recovery operations are set to proceed early Monday once the site is deemed safe. Police will then undertake formal identification processes to confirm the victim’s identity and determine the cause of death.
The site remains under police guard.
