Hot conditions are expected across Cyprus on Saturday, with temperatures reaching around 38°C inland, and further increases are forecast in the coming days.
According to the Cyprus Department of Meteorology, a seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region.
Today’s weather will be mainly clear, although increased cloud cover in the afternoon may bring isolated showers, mainly in mountainous areas.
In the evening, increased low cloud and patchy fog or mist are expected to develop.
Temperatures will rise to around 38°C in inland areas, around 30 °C along the coast, and about 26 °C in higher mountainous regions.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, conditions are expected to remain mainly clear, with occasional periods of locally increased cloud cover.
Temperatures are forecast to rise gradually, remaining slightly above seasonal averages.
