A 38 year old man is in critical condition at a Limassol private clinic after being transferred from Paphos for more specialised treatment, following an accident just before 11 in a central Kissonerga avenue. He was on his way to Peyia.

Under as yet unidentified circumstances, the man collided with a car driven by a 47 year old woman, resulting in his critical injury.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was rushed to hospital and intubated, as he suffered multiple fractures.

Doctors describe his condition as critical and the first 48 hours are considered crucial.

The driver of the car underwent a breathalyser and narcotest with a zero indication.

The Paphos traffic department and the Peyia police station are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
