Cyprus has recorded 12 deaths from seasonal infections, with ten fatalities attributed to influenza A and two to respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), health authorities reported Wednesday.
Eight of the flu-related deaths occurred in state hospitals and two in private facilities, while the RSV fatalities included a two-month-old infant at Makarios Hospital and a woman patient.
Ten patients are currently in public hospital intensive care units, with dozens more hospitalised in regular wards, authorities said.
