President Nikos Christodoulides is set to chair a high-level meeting on Tuesday to discuss the future of Larnaca Port, a key infrastructure project with significant economic and strategic implications for Cyprus.
The meeting, scheduled to take place at the Presidential Palace at 10 a.m., will include Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras, Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE) President Christodoulos Angastiniotis, and Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades.
Speaking on the sidelines of Epiphany celebrations in Agia Napa, Transport Minister Vafeades underscored the importance of the discussion, stating, “This is a meeting organized by President Christodoulides to evaluate the future of Larnaca Port. Our priority is identifying what is best for both Larnaca and Cyprus as a whole.”
Vafeades emphasized that the government remains open to all possibilities. “We have no preconceived notions on the matter. Any decision made will be guided by the overarching objective of serving the interests of Larnaca and the country,” he added.
