Nicosia is experiencing severe traffic congestion due to the closure of central roads for a private event attended by President Christodoulides.
The closure of key roads, particularly around the House of Representatives and the Courts, has caused widespread disruption and frustration among motorists. Drivers have reported being stuck in traffic for hours, with some taking over an hour to travel short distances.
Social media has been filled with complaints about the inconvenience, with many criticising the decision to close the roads during peak hours.
