Cyprus’s Nikolas Antoniou has been eliminated from the 100m freestyle competition at the Olympics.
Despite winning his heat with a time of 50.35 seconds, the 20-year-old was unable to secure one of the top 16 spots to advance to the semifinals.
Antoniou finished 43rd overall out of 79 competitors.
