Cypriot swimmer Nikolas Antoniou has made a strong start to his Olympic campaign, topping his heat in the 100m freestyle.
The 20-year-old clocked a time of 50.35 seconds to finish first in the fourth heat.
Antoniou now awaits the results of the other heats to see if he will qualify for tonight’s semifinals (09:30 p.m.).
