In his remarks, the Commissioner stated that he will advance the three main pillars of the President’s policy for mountain communities, which are the road network, health, and education.

Noting that the President has a fairly ambitious program, he stated, “We will be here day and night to implement it, and we hope that at the end of the day, the policy that will be implemented will reach every household in the countryside.”

Addressing the mountain residents, he mentioned that he personally understands their anxieties and concerns, how they are shaped from the early morning when they start going to work until the afternoon and evening when the last member of the family arrives home.

Mr. Christofinas thanked the President for the trust shown in appointing him as the Commissioner for Mountain Communities and assured that he will do everything humanly possible to ensure that each resident of the countryside feels the significant improvement they expect in their quality of life.
