The Industrial Workers of the World’s Cyprus Regional Organising Committee (IWW-CYROC) is set to host the first Pan-African Workers Conference in Nicosia, featuring discussions on labour issues affecting African communities.
The event will highlight the political situation in Cameroon, presented by a member of the anglophone Cameroonian community, and address challenges faced by African workers in Cyprus. An open forum will follow, allowing attendees to share their experiences of living and working on the island.
The conference will include musical performances before and after the main programme.
The event will take place on Sunday, December 1 noon at the Faneromeni Square.
Organisers note that the event may be postponed in case of rain and advise following CYROC’s social media channels for updates.
