Convicted fugitive Doros Theofanous was arrested shortly before 17:30 on Sunday, after being spotted around 17:00 near the seafront of Limassol, close to the Four Seasons Hotel.
Upon receiving the tip, police initiated a chase, pursuing the fugitive through the narrow streets surrounding the hotels. Several citizens reported seeing Theofanous moving stealthily, hiding in houses in the area.
Sources indicate that an individual approached the Limassol Police Directorate, claiming to know Theofanous’ whereabouts. Initial reports suggest that a foreign national had been tasked with sheltering the fugitive in the premises where he was hiding.
