A 22-year-old motorcyclist struck and seriously injured a 50-year-old pedestrian on Limassol Avenue in Nicosia on Wednesday evening, police said.
The collision occurred at around 7:30 pm. The woman was attempting to cross the road when the motorcycle hit her under circumstances that are still being investigated. She was taken to Nicosia General Hospital.
According to her treating doctors, the 50-year-old sustained a subdural haematoma. Her condition is described as serious but not life-threatening.
The Nicosia traffic police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the collision.
