Police arrested a 32-year-old man from Limassol on Thursday over an arson attack on a restaurant in the Limassol Marina area on 31 October, and said he confessed to the offence under questioning.
He was arrested on a court warrant and taken into custody. He is expected to appear before Limassol District Court on Friday, where police will seek a remand order.
The evidence against him emerged from extensive inquiries by Limassol CID at the scene and in the wider area, and from the assessment of other evidence, police said.
