All the minors involved in the violent assault of a boy in Latsia on Friday are 14 years old and therefore below the age of criminal responsibility, according to information obtained by Phileleftheros.

The incident, first reported by Sigma television, involved a group of minors attacking another boy and was captured on video.

According to Phileleftheros’s information, everyone appearing in the video is aged 14, meaning they cannot be held criminally responsible.

The same sources said that as soon as police became aware of the incident, steps were taken to encourage the victim’s family to file a formal written complaint.

The boy was also given a medical referral form so he could undergo an examination at hospital.

As for the circumstances surrounding the assault, information suggests that a disagreement involving a girl may have preceded the attack.

Police are continuing their investigation.
