The Minister of Justice and Public Order, Costas Fytiris, will conduct a working visit to Athens on Monday, 12 January 2026, where he is scheduled to meet with Greek Ministers of Shipping and Island Policy, Vassilis Kikilias; Justice, George Floridis; and Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrisochoidis.
The purpose of the contacts is to strengthen cooperation between Cyprus and Greece on issues of maritime security, law enforcement, justice, and police cooperation.
The meetings will also include an update on the priorities of the upcoming Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU and the informal Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Council meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Nicosia on 21–23 January 2026.
