A European Union citizen, whose nationality has not been disclosed, has been remanded in custody for five days by the District Court in Nicosia in connection with a case of usurping Greek-Cypriot property in the occupied areas of the Republic.

The 25 year old man was arrested last night at Paphos airport following a tip off as he was ready to board a plane home. He is being investigated for transactions in regard to property not registered to his name, use of land registered to a Greek-Cypriot refugee and income stemming from illegal activities.

The police headquarters CID has taken over the case, looking into possible accomplices, including buyers, suppliers and other associates in property transactions.
