The Department of Forests has created openings in safety barriers along forest roads so that mouflon can move freely and safely without becoming trapped on the road network, it said in a post on Friday.
The project cost about 52,000 euros and was co-financed by the Structural Funds.
The work covered a large part of the remaining needs at the specific points in the forest concerned, the department said.
