Mostly localised showers and thunderstorms are forecast in Cyprus from Tuesday, with temperatures set to fall gradually to just below the seasonal average.
The island is under the influence of a weak low pressure system, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Monday will bring spells of medium and high cloud, with winds of up to four Beaufort. Temperatures will reach around 26 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast and 18 degrees in the higher mountains. Overnight they will drop to around 14 degrees inland, 16 on the coast and nine in the higher mountains.
On Tuesday, cloud will build locally at times and is expected to bring isolated showers or a thunderstorm around midday. These are most likely in the mountains, the north and inland areas.
Wednesday and Thursday will be partly cloudy, with local showers at times.
