The Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth has announced that schools in the Akrotiri community will remain closed on Monday, March 9, 2026, as a precautionary measure.
The closure affects Akrotiri Primary School, Akrotiri Kindergarten, and the Akrotiri Environmental Education Centre. The Ministry confirmed the measure applies to all students, teachers, and administrative staff at these institutions.
Education officials have already issued instructions to activate remote learning systems for the two schools to ensure lessons continue.
Additionally, the Ministry’s Educational Psychology Service has been placed on standby to support students, teachers, and parents. Support will be available from 07:30 to 15:00 at the following contact numbers:
