Approximately 80 Chinese citizens and their family members arrived safely at Limassol Port on Tuesday, after they were evacuated from Lebanon.
According to globaltimes.cn, Chinese Embassy officials in Cyprus reported that the evacuation ship departed from a Lebanese port at midnight on Monday, completing a 13-hour journey to Limassol.
Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus, Liu Yantao, stated that the Chinese government had “made every effort to overcome various difficulties” to ensure the safe evacuation of its citizens.

The Chinese Embassy established a service desk at Limassol Port to assist with emergency document processing for the evacuees.
Cypriot authorities announced on Wednesday that their plan to receive more evacuees has become “fully operational” as people from Lebanon continue to arrive.
The regional crisis has disrupted air travel, with many international airlines suspending flights to the area.
Nearly 80 flights to Middle East airports were diverted to other countries following airspace closures after Iran’s missile attack on Israel.
Cyprus’s extended airspace control in the eastern Mediterranean was also affected, with at least 11 planes bound for Beirut or Tel Aviv diverted overnight to Larnaca airport.
