The American naval vessel berthed in Limassol on Friday, following a six-month mission in the region. Its primary purpose for stopping at the Cypriot port is to undergo maintenance work and resupply, as part of a scheduled visit.
In her social media post, Ambassador Fisher extended a warm welcome to the ship and its crew. She emphasised the WASP’s strategic role, stating that the vessel “is in the Eastern Mediterranean to deter aggression and support regional stability.”
