The Cyprus Forum, the island’s largest policy conference, will take place for the fifth consecutive year on the 3rd and 4th of October in Nicosia.
The event, organised by Oxygen for Democracy in partnership with the Delphi Economic Forum and the University of Cyprus, will once again bring together a diverse array of influential figures from both Cyprus and abroad.
The conference, held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic, will kick off with an opening ceremony at the historic Old Town Hall in Nicosia. This will be followed by 64 hours of discussions, hosted at both the Old Town Hall and the iconic Ledra Palace, two buildings that hold significant political symbolism on the island.
This year’s forum will maintain its focus on critical themes such as Democracy and the Rule of Law, Foreign Policy, Peacekeeping, Sustainability, and Technology and Innovation. The discussions will be shaped by the input of various knowledge partners, including the European Policy Centre, ELIAMEP, the Cyprus Economic Society, and Transparency International, among others. These partners are providing scientific oversight and assisting in the selection of speakers.
Over 200 speakers, comprising political officials, technocrats, and academics, are expected to participate in the forum. Further details on registration and the full agenda are available at the event’s website.
