Police in Nicosia are investigating a firecracker attack on the home of a 26-year-old footballer, they said on Sunday.
The footballer discovered damage to a front window of his house on returning home on Sunday evening, police said.
A subsequent investigation by officers and a bomb disposal expert concluded that a firecracker had exploded at the property, causing the damage.
Police believe the incident occurred shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.
