The Administrative Council of the Parents’ and Guardians’ Association of Konies Elementary School unanimously decided to close Konies Elementary School tomorrow, from 7:30 to 9:00 in the morning, and to hold a peaceful protest against the installation of a 5G antenna near the school.
The organized parents argue that the antenna is only 150 meters away from the school and is located on a lower building than the school, resulting in its direct exposure to radiation.
The Association emphasizes that 280 students attend Konies School, with 15 educators and other staff working, who are exposed to radiation daily.
For this reason, it is stated in a announcement that on tomorrow’s day, which is also the World Day Against Childhood Cancer, the peaceful protest was decided upon.
The Parents’ and Guardians’ Association of the Elementary School is supported by the Parents’ Association of the Kindergarten of Konies, which is located a few meters above the Elementary School, as well as residents of the affected area.
