A Swiss model railway in Emba, Paphos, will open to the public free of charge on Sunday, 18 October, from 2pm to 8pm.
The Association of the Swiss Model Train in Emba is holding its third annual open day in cooperation with the Kidney Association Paphos, which will sell cakes and drinks at the event.

The railway, inspired by the Glacier Express, is laid out on a 1,500-square-metre property. Its trains run over bridges and through tunnels across landscaped terrain. As evening falls, the trains and the model buildings, which include stations, a church and houses, are lit up.
The organisers say the event is aimed at families, and especially at children.
The railway is at 17 Agiou Dimitriou, 8250 Emba. For more information, call 99 209013.
