Photographer Stelios Paphitis will present his latest exhibition “On The Move” at Lumiere Contemporary Art Gallery in Limassol from February 5-15, 2025, showcasing a philosophical exploration of existence through photography.

The exhibition, subtitled “A Trilogy: Creation, the In-Between, and the End”, features a series of photographs examining the cycle of creation, transformation, and dissolution. Through his lens, Paphitis captures the raw energy of creation, the ethereal nature of light, and the inevitable return to cosmic unity.

With over 40 years of experience in visual arts, Paphitis brings significant expertise to this exhibition. As co-founder and current president of the Lakatamia Photographic Club and former president of the TEY-ATHK Photographic Club, he has played a pivotal role in developing Cyprus’s photographic community.

Paphitis’s international recognition includes membership in the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), Global Photographers International, and Image Sans Frontière. His work has been featured in two books published by the Municipality of Lakatamia, and he regularly serves as a judge in photography competitions at local, national, and international levels.

The exhibition explores three distinct phases: the initial emergence of creation, the transitional state where light plays with human perception, and the final transformation where individual existence returns to collective unity.

As an experienced photography instructor, Paphitis has dedicated his career to nurturing new talent through workshops and lectures, establishing himself as a respected figure in the photographic community.

The exhibition opens at Lumiere Contemporary Art Gallery on February 5, 2025, and runs until February 15, 2025.
