Where the Divide Meets the Horizon: The Launch
Elias Klark
Where the Divide Meets the Horizon: The Launch is a site-specific, multi-sensory dance platform situated on the pier across the Molos skatepark, inviting the public into a space of collective reflection, movement, and imagination. Set against the backdrop of a transitional landscape, where water, sky, and silence converge, this project seeks to reimagine the Cypriot buffer zone as a site of dialogue and creative connection. Through immersive performances, sound installations, and participatory movement workshops, the event invites passersby and invitees alike to become co-creators in a shared exploration of division, liminality, and reconnection. As the journey unfolds, boundaries begin to blur, and the horizon transforms into a meeting point for storytelling, presence, and new possibilities.
The series includes the sound installation, Lethe by the Sea; the performance, buffer knots; and the participatory movement workshops, Consensual Landscapes.

A Dance to Connect
Julie Charalambidou & Teaser
A Dance to Connect starts with two dancers moving together mixing contemporary dance and breaking. But don’t get too comfy watching… because soon, you might be part of the show.
The performance quickly melts into an open dance floor where everyone’s welcome. No rules, no judgement, just vibes. We’re taking over Molos with joy, movement, and that beautiful chaos that happens when strangers start dancing together. So grab a friend, or make one there. This isn’t about perfect moves—it’s about moving together. So… ready to dance like everyone’s watching—and no one cares?

out there
Maria Kamberis / Selas Dance Company
Out there marks the beginning of a new artistic research process for 2025, centered on the relationship between memory and landscape.
Drawing on bibliographic and embodied research, the work investigates how memory gives meaning to space—not simply as recollection, but as a shared, active condition.
Landscape is approached not only as something we see, but as a way of seeing. It becomes a living text—one in which social relations are inscribed, revised, and remembered.
Through this lens, external space is not neutral: it is public, ephemeral, and constantly shaped by the interplay between personal and collective memory.
The project unfolds as an invitation to observe how our inner worlds echo through the outer one, and how memory—when thought of as movement, gesture, and verb—can shape what a landscape becomes.

Rising
Lia Haraki
This performance taking place during the early morning hours, is a ritual on the process of awakening. Lia will be moving and sounding as she goes through the stages of transformation,
from conditioning to freedom,
as the darkness will reveal the sun,
and the earth will keep turning anti–clockwise, ,
as it does every day,
with us all,
lucky living creatures.
Join, if you are ‘awake’.

We carry the river
Arianna Economou / Echo Arts
“We carry the river” is a three-part performance on how water in its presence or absence defines our Life on Earth, and how voice and song connect us to the element of water and the fluid world around us. Water is a connector.
The journey begins at Tholoti Vrysi/Gubeli Cesme on Ismet Pasha Street, in front of the Kornaro Arts Center. The first part focuses on the significance of the fountain itself and the historical role of such water sources as places of coolness, bodily and spiritual renewal throughout the centuries.
In the second part, the audience participates in a guided walk—a physical experience that invites us to embody the element of water, essential to life, in a deep BODY – EARTH relationship. The walk ends under the “Four Lanterns” Bridge, where the group performance will be presented in the riverbed of the Garyllis River.
NOTE
For the guided walk, the audience is kindly asked to bring their own headphones, as an audio link will be provided for listening via mobile phone.

Suzana Phialas
Suzana Phialas’ most recent work explores the essence of movement as an algorithm —marrying her knowledge in choreography and performance with the intricacies of code and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The videoworks in this series explore sentience as a speculative terrain, one where human and machine are no longer opposites but cohabitants of a shared digital ecology.

The Invisible Side of Public Spaces (Discussion)
Organised by Lemesos 2030 – European Capital of Culture, Candidate City
Facilitated by Sevina Floridou
An outdoor discussion as part of the Summer Dance Festival, to explore the dynamic relationship between artists and the city’s shared public spaces. Under the theme “Artists and their relationship with public space (the understory of public space / artists between public spaces)”, we will exchange views on how artists perceive, interact with, and transform the urban landscape. Join us to share your thoughts and enjoy free lemonade and ice cream!
