A bag containing a suspected quantity of drugs was found on a staircase leading to the Criminal Courts at Limassol court on Wednesday morning, prompting police to seal off the area.
Officers from the Limassol drug squad (YKAN) took possession of the exhibit and are investigating the case. Tests are pending to establish the exact type and quantity of the substance.
Authorities are also investigating how the bag passed through the court’s security screening, police said.
