Police are investigating a series of linked bomb attacks that have occurred in Nicosia, Larnaca, and Limassol in recent weeks.
Investigators believe the same person is responsible for all four incidents, based on an analysis of improvised explosive devices found at the scenes.
The latest device, which was defused safely, led to the arrest of a 19-year-old suspect in Limassol.
However, police believe the suspect was not the bombmaker and are searching for another individual with expertise in explosives. The bombmaker appears to have used a similar design for all four devices, suggesting a pattern of operation.
Police are now focusing on identifying the bombmaker, using DNA evidence, witness testimonies, and other investigative techniques.
