In a strongly worded statement, DISY said the sequence of events in this “unprecedented case” has severely damaged public confidence in the police force, while also raising questions about the initial autopsy’s “inaccuracy”.
The party demanded a thorough investigation into the case, insisting that those responsible “at any level” must face exemplary punishment. “No one is above the law,” the statement emphasised.

The party criticised what it called “ineffective oversight” and “lack of determination in combating corruption”, stating that officials must take responsibility for their roles.
“Citizens’ safety is non-negotiable,” the statement concluded, criticising the gap between promised reforms and actual implementation. “We keep hearing about changes and reforms, but in practice, we see nothing that ensures such deplorable and disturbing incidents will end.”
