The latest incident of vandalism and damage in public school premises was recorded on Wednesday night when the hooligans entered the buildings of the K’ Public Kindergarten and Elementary School in Limassol, causing damages and writing various slogans on the walls.
School Board crews went to both schools for repairs.
It seems that the offenders entered the K’ Public Kindergarten and after climbing onto the roof, they removed tiles and threw them into the outdoor playground.
Despite measures and patrols in school premises due to the Easter holidays, it is evident that the troublemakers find a way to act right under the authorities’ noses.
Speaking to Phileleftheros, the president of the Limassol Greek Schools Board, Dinos Ellinas, emphasized that there is intense concern and reflection on these incidents as the offenders in most cases are underage individuals.
According to Ellinas, security guards have been stationed for days now at 24 schools.
