There have been developments in the ongoing Metamax pyramid scheme fraud case, with authorities executing an arrest warrant against a 63-year-old retired police officer who was wanted in connection with the investigation.
According to a statement provided by the Police, the retired officer presented himself at the Limassol Police’s offices at approximately 8:00 am this morning, where he was subsequently arrested.
The individual is currently being interrogated, and following this process, he will be brought before the Limassol District Court to request an extension of his detention.
It is worth noting that two other individuals, aged 48 and 54, are already in custody regarding this case.
