A 14-year-old remains in serious but stable condition after crashing an electric scooter into a parked car in Limassol, police said.
According to police, the crash happened at 12.30am on Friday in Trachoni, Limassol, when the boy, riding the electric scooter, hit the rear of a parked car under circumstances that are still being investigated.
He was taken first to Limassol Hospital and then to Nicosia Hospital, where he underwent medical examinations.
Doctors found he had suffered an epidural haematoma and admitted him for treatment. He was then transferred to Makarios Hospital, where he will remain for monitoring and treatment in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Police said the boy had been riding the scooter on a road where this is not permitted, and was not wearing a safety helmet.
