A large fire that started between the villages of Ayios Mamas and Kalo Chorio in the Limassol district on Wednesday afternoon has been put under control.
According to the fire service, the blaze spread and burned 1.9 kilometres of forest land heading towards Pelentri.
More than 200 members of the fire service, the forestry department and the civil defence assisted in the operation.
