A 16-year-old female high school student from Larnaca district has filed a formal complaint alleging sexual harassment by her school bus driver.
According to Philenews, the complaint concerns verbal sexual harassment that allegedly occurred inside the school bus on multiple occasions.
Specifically, the student told police that the driver made inappropriate comments directed at her.
The alleged incidents reportedly took place repeatedly over a period of several months, from January until as recently as last Wednesday, establishing a pattern of behaviour rather than an isolated occurrence.
School authorities were promptly informed of the situation, as were the student’s parents, who proceeded to file an official complaint with local law enforcement on Monday afternoon at a Larnaca district police station.
Police are investigating the case.
