Rain and isolated thunderstorms are forecast across Cyprus from Sunday and over the coming days, with temperatures expected to fall from Monday and dust remaining in the atmosphere at times.
According to the Department of Meteorology, weak low pressure is affecting the region, bringing unsettled conditions, particularly during the afternoon.
Sunday will be partly cloudy at times, with isolated showers and possibly a thunderstorm developing in the afternoon, mainly in the mountains, inland areas and the north.
Light dust will also be present in the atmosphere at times, while winds will reach moderate strength at 4 Beaufort.
Temperatures will rise to around 32°C inland, 29°C along the coast and 22°C in the higher mountains.
Sunday night will be mostly clear, although cloud cover will increase locally, bringing a chance of isolated showers, mainly in western and northern areas.
Temperatures will fall to around 18°C inland, 20°C along the coast and 10°C in the higher mountains.
On Monday and Tuesday, partly cloudy conditions are expected at times, with isolated showers or thunderstorms developing during the afternoon, mainly in the mountains and inland areas.
On Wednesday, cloud cover will gradually increase, bringing localised rain and isolated thunderstorms, particularly during the afternoon and evening.
Temperatures are expected to drop on Monday before remaining largely unchanged on Tuesday and Wednesday, staying close to seasonal averages.
