The Republic of Cyprus has sent humanitarian aid worth around €200,000 to Lebanon through the CyprusAid programme, following a Cabinet decision.

According to a post on X by the Foreign Ministry, the shipment was carried out in close cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and the Health Ministry.

The shipment, consisting of 31 containers of pharmaceutical products and medical consumables in total, left the port of Limassol on July 26, 2026, and has already arrived at the port of Beirut.

The Foreign Ministry said the total humanitarian aid the Republic of Cyprus has provided to Lebanon since the start of 2026 now stands at €840,000.

The ministry also said that scholarships will be granted to Lebanese citizens through CyprusAid in September, both short-term scholarships for participation in seminars and training courses run by the programme, and longer-term scholarships for studies at higher education institutions in the Republic of Cyprus.
