US lawmakers released documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate including a birthday book containing an alleged note signed by President Donald Trump, which the White House has denied as authentic.
The House Oversight Committee published the 238-page scrapbook created for Epstein’s 50th birthday in 2003 by Ghislaine Maxwell, his convicted co-conspirator. The release followed a subpoena issued last month to Epstein’s estate executors.
The alleged Trump note features a drawing of a woman’s body and ends with “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.” The White House stated Trump “did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.”

White House denies authenticity of note featuring woman’s drawing
The birthday book contains submissions from various high-profile individuals connected to Epstein, including an apparent note from former President Bill Clinton referencing Epstein’s “childlike curiosity.” A Clinton spokesperson acknowledged the former president’s acquaintance with Epstein but stated he knew nothing of his crimes.
British Ambassador Lord Peter Mandelson appears in the book calling Epstein “my best pal.” A spokesman for Mandelson said he regretted being introduced to Epstein.
Prince Andrew is mentioned briefly in an unidentified woman’s note stating she met Andrew, Clinton and Trump through Epstein. The note claims she visited Buckingham Palace private quarters and sat on the Queen’s throne. Prince Andrew has denied wrongdoing in connection with Epstein allegations.

Congressional committee releases estate documents after subpoena
Committee ranking Democrat Robert Garcia stated Trump “claimed that his birthday note didn’t exist” and accused the president of lying and covering up truth. Republican chairman James Comer accused Democrats of “cherry-picking documents and politicising information.”
The document release includes Epstein’s 2007 non-prosecution agreement with federal prosecutors and nearly 30 years of personal address book entries containing contacts including royalty, celebrities and politicians.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump’s legal team would continue pursuing litigation against the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the note in July. Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the newspaper seeking damages.
Trump and Epstein maintained a friendship for years before falling out in the early 2000s over employee poaching at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. Epstein died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial.
