A UK ticket holder has won £177 million in the EuroMillions lottery, becoming the third-largest National Lottery winner in history, lottery operator Allwyn announced on Friday.
The winning numbers were 07, 11, 25, 31 and 40, with Lucky Stars 09 and 12. The prize has yet to be claimed, and lottery players are being urged to check their tickets.
The win places the ticket holder behind only two previous UK lottery victories: the record £195 million won by an anonymous ticket holder in July 2022, and the £184.3 million won by Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester in May 2022.
