Odyssey Cybersecurity, in collaboration with Airia, hosted the executive event “Enable Secure Enterprise AI Adoption” on 21 October at Hilton Nicosia, bringing together business and technology leaders to discuss what organisations need to securely integrate AI into day-to-day operations.
As AI expands across business functions, applications and workflows, the conversation is shifting from experimentation and adoption to a more pressing question: how can organisations maintain visibility, control and accountability as AI becomes increasingly embedded in the enterprise?
The event focused on practical approaches to secure AI adoption, with particular emphasis on data protection, access controls, governance, operational oversight and the growing role of AI agents. Airia also demonstrated the capabilities of its AI security, governance and orchestration platform.

Live pulse points to a growing maturity gap
A live audience pulse conducted during the event highlighted a clear pattern: while AI is already moving into operational use, many organisations are still developing the governance, visibility and security capabilities required to manage it effectively.
Among respondents:
- 84% identified data exposure and leakage as their most significant AI-related concern.
- 82% reported very limited or only partial visibility into AI usage across teams and business units.
- 74% said their organisation either has no formal AI governance framework in place or is still at the early discussion stage.
- Around 71% reported either no visibility or only limited and manual capabilities for detecting and investigating AI-related threats or abnormal AI behaviour.
Looking ahead, respondents identified governance and compliance as the leading challenge in securing AI-driven operations over the next three years, followed by visibility and monitoring.
The findings point to a wider shift in how enterprise AI needs to be approached. AI is no longer only an innovation or productivity topic. As its role expands, it increasingly becomes part of the organisation’s cybersecurity, risk and governance agenda.

Moving from AI opportunity to operational control
Stelios Charalambous, Manager Presales at Odyssey Cybersecurity, commented:
“AI is already part of everyday business operations. The challenge is no longer adoption alone, but giving organisations the confidence to use AI securely and responsibly. That confidence comes from understanding how AI is being used, establishing clear boundaries around data access and actions, and ensuring effective oversight and accountability. Trust in enterprise AI is built through governance and controls that work in practice.”
Supporting secure enterprise AI adoption
The event formed part of the strategic collaboration between Odyssey Cybersecurity and Airia, combining Odyssey’s expertise in cybersecurity and risk management with Airia’s unified platform for AI security, governance and orchestration.
The collaboration supports organisations seeking to expand the use of AI while maintaining consistent visibility, security and governance across models, AI agents, applications, data and workflows.
As AI moves from isolated use cases into core business operations, security and governance are becoming essential foundations for sustainable enterprise adoption.
