The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for severe thunderstorms in Cyprus from 2am to 6pm on Wednesday, October 28, with hail and strong gusts of wind possible.
The storms are expected to hit the western half of the island first and spread to other areas from midday, the department said.
A low-pressure system has started to affect the region, bringing more cloud, rain and isolated thunderstorms. The unsettled weather is expected to continue on Thursday.
