Her children, Sotiris, Kyriakos and Stavros, also work at the taverna, which has operated as a family business since it opened.

Most ingredients come from villages in the surrounding area. Dishes on the summer menu include a salad with local marmande tomatoes, homemade halloumi with tomato jam, seasonal greens with eggs, lamb chops, souvla, stuffed courgette flowers and kleftiko, along with a meze based on traditional Cypriot recipes and seasonal ingredients.

The taverna also runs a small grocery shop selling fresh fruit and vegetables from local producers throughout the summer, as well as seasonal sweets, jams and trahanas. It opens early in the morning for a traditional Cypriot “boukoma” breakfast and offers a Cypriot buffet at weekend lunches. During the summer, apart from August, Fridays feature live Greek and Cypriot music, with themed traditional nights held periodically.
