Hundreds of citizens are currently participating in a peaceful demonstration and march for Gaza organized by the Cyprus Peace Council at the Molos amphitheater in Limassol.
The event began at 6:00 PM with participants displaying banners and chanting slogans in support of Palestine and against Israeli aggression.
Demonstrators are condemning both Israel’s recent attacks against Iran and the ongoing military action in Gaza, demanding an end to the genocide of the Palestinian people and the lifting of the blockade on the area.
The gathering is taking place in a calm atmosphere at the waterfront venue, with speeches currently underway by representatives of the Cyprus Peace Council as of 6:30 PM.
According to a statement from the Cyprus Peace Council, the organization is also criticizing the stance of the Cypriot government regarding the conflict.
The march is expected to follow a route along Limassol’s waterfront, returning to the same starting point at the Molos amphitheater.
