A low-intensity explosive device detonated outside a warehouse in Livadia, Larnaca district, early Sunday, shattering the main glass entrance, according to police reports.
At approximately 3:20 a.m. on April 6, an unidentified individual approached the warehouse’s main entrance and placed the device, said Spiros Chrysostomou, spokesperson for the Larnaca Police Department.
“The explosion resulted in the shattering of the main glass door,” Chrysostomou stated, adding that initial examinations suggest the device was of low intensity.
“The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department is conducting ongoing investigations, including area searches and witness interviews, to identify the perpetrator,” he concluded.
