A migrant food delivery worker was robbed at midnight by multiple assailants in Limassol, in the latest of a series of attacks targeting delivery personnel.
Police said three young people wearing black clothes and hoods approached the victim after he parked near a park.
One assailant held a metal object to the victim’s throat and struck him in the back with an elbow before fleeing the scene.
The other two robbers stole the victim’s wallet containing 150 euros and his mobile phones before escaping on foot eastward.
Two additional masked individuals then stole the victim’s motorcycle and fled in an unknown direction.
The delivery worker was not injured in the attack and declined medical attention, police said.
The incident comes amid growing concern over attacks on food delivery workers in Cyprus.
On Sunday, January 12, police arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection with two robberies of food delivery workers in Larnaca.
Police are investigating the latest incident.
