Police in Larnaca are concerned following two armed robberies targeting food delivery drivers within 24 hours in the city centre and Dromolaxia municipality area.

Three individuals attacked and robbed two delivery drivers in separate incidents.

According to philenews sources, police evidence suggests the perpetrators of both attacks are likely the same individuals, though these incidents appear unrelated to similar robberies in other districts.

The most recent attack occurred just after 9pm on Tuesday, when a 22-year-old delivery driver was targeted.

Police report that whilst the driver was stationary on his motorcycle in a Larnaca neighbourhood, he was approached by three unknown individuals who arrived by car.

The assailants, who concealed their faces with hoods, threatened the delivery driver—one wielding a firearm and two brandishing knives—before stealing cash, his motorcycle keys and a mobile phone.

The Kiti Police Station is investigating the incident and reviewing CCTV footage from the area.
