A Pakistani man found dead in a car park near Acropolis, Nicosia, on 7 January was murdered, authorities confirmed following a post-mortem examination.
Initial investigations did not suggest foul play as the body showed no external injuries, police sources told Philenews.
However, an autopsy conducted on Thursday revealed evidence of homicide, prompting Nicosia’s Criminal Investigation Department to launch a premeditated murder investigation.
Authorities are now working to determine the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death.
